Comments: Korean mountain ash stands out as a durable small to mid-sized tree. Fall color of the leaves is a rich golden orange color, which highlights the irregularly shaped pink fruits. The fruits are persistent on the tree after leaf drop, which adds color to the garden as well as food for wildlife.
The coarse veining of the leaf and leaf shape is reminiscent of red alder leaves hence the specific epithet alnifolia. The genus Sorbus is wide spread in Northern hemisphere forests with species occurring throughout Asia, Europe and North America.
