Erica arborea is an evergreen shrub (sometimes described as a small tree) that grows to about 8-12 feet tall. The leaves are needle-like and grow in whorls of 3 or 4 around a stem. White, occasionally pink, bell-shaped flowers are borne in pyramidal panicles in the late winter to early spring.
