Comments: Daphne tangutica is a broadleaf evergreen shrub. It has a compact, mounding growth habit that reaches about 4 feet tall and wide. The leaves are small about 1 to 3 inches long, and smooth/glossy in texture. Flower buds emerge in late winter/early spring. The buds are purple, and the open flowers are white/slightly pink and very fragrant. Late summer to fall there is a bright orange/red fruit.
