Comments: Atlas Cedar grows in the Atlas Mountains of Morocco and Algeria. The needles grow in bundles on short stems, are about 1 inch (2 cm.) long and have a blue color. The cones are 2 inches (6 cm.) tall, sit upright on the branch, and fall apart at maturity, dispersing both seeds and scales. Many cultivated forms of this cedar are planted in gardens.
