Comments: The species is endemic to Greece where it has a very widespread distribution in the Regions of: Espiros (five locations), Macedonia (Mt. Olympus and Mt. Athos), Peloponnisos (11 locations), Sterea Ellas (10 locations), Ionian Islands (Kefallinia) (Strid 1986). Trees can grow to 115 ft. needles are rigid and sharp radially distributed silvery on the under side and shiny dark green above.
