Comments: Mahonia x media is hybrid betweem Mahonia lomariifolia and M. japonica. This evergreen shrub has compound leaves that are shiny, spiky and arranged in whorls around the stems. The flowers bloom in the winter and are upright racemes of yellow flowers that develop into bunches of blue/black fruit. This plant grows to 6-10 feet tall by 4-6 feet wide.
