Comments:
Red Fir is a close relative of Noble Fir. Like Noble Fir, it is a large tree that grows to 200 feet (60 m.) tall. Red Fir is rare in Oregon, but an easy place to find it is around the rim of Crater Lake. Red Fir has needles that are like Noble Fir, shaped like hockey sticks. The cones are larger than Noble Fir cones and do not have Noble Fir's distinctive whiskery bracts.
